Though there are other browsers for Android, there is no denying that Chrome is the most dominant of them all with nearly 90% Android market share. Like any other web browser, whenever you visit any website in the Chrome browser, the website will automatically set cookies. These cookies are important and used in many different ways by the websites.
Though cookies are useful in many ways, they might also cause problems from time to time. For example, corrupted cookies can make the Chrome browser slow and websites to not load as they should. Not only that but if you want to reset your preferences, you have to delete cookies in the Android Chrome browser.

Steps to Clear Chrome Cookies on Android
To clear all Chrome cookies on Android follow these steps:
- Open the Chrome browser.
- Tap on the “three vertical dots“.
- Select “Settings.”
- Select the “Privacy” option.
- Tap on the “Clear browsing data” option.
- Select “All time” from the Time Range dropdown.
- Select the “Cookies and site data” checkbox.
- Tap on the “Clear” button.
- If you see a confirmation message, tap on “Clear” again.
- Close the Chrome browser.
Detailed Steps
1. First, open the Google Chrome browser from the app drawer.
2. After opening the browser, tap on the “three vertical dots” icon on the top-right corner. This opens up the Chrome menu with a bunch of options.
3. From the menu, select the “Settings” option. This is where you can change and configure all sorts of Chrome options.
4. On the settings page, select the “Privacy” option.
5. Now, tap on the “Clear browsing data” option.
6. Select “All time” option from the “Time Range” dropdown menu at the top. You can choose any timeframe as you want.
7. Since we want to delete all Chrome cookies, tap on the “Cookies and site data” option. Uncheck all other checkboxes. The same option also tells you how many sites are storing cookies and other site data in Chrome. In my case, a total of 1,964 sites are storing cookies and site data.
8. Tap on the “Clear” button at the bottom.
9. When Google thinks some cookies and site data are important, it might show a pop-up asking if you really want to delete those specific cookies. If you don’t want to delete site data or cookies of a certain site, uncheck it from the list. To delete full data, leave the defaults be and tap on the “Clear” option.
10. As soon as you tap on the clear option, Chrome will clear cookies. Depending on the number of sites, the operation might take a few seconds.
11. Once done, you can close the Chrome browser.
Important Note: When you clear cookies and site data, you might be logged out of websites and your preferences in certain sites might reset. Of course, this does not apply to Google sites and products.
